Albion face drop
Ben Gage26/ 4/2006
WILMSLOW Albion look certain for the drop after their disastrous run of results continued.
The Manchester League Premier Division's basement club are now 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table with just five games left.
Albion's cause was not helped last week as they slipped to three defeats in five days. Gareth McClelland's young side were denied victory against Hindsford last Tuesday, who came from two-goals down to snatch a draw, and defeats to East Manchester and Dukinfield on Thursday and Saturday have left the team stranded at the foot of the division.
It has been an extremely difficult season for Albion, with the most obvious problem being that the side has been forced to switch their home games to the oppositions' ground.
Styal's Tuesday and Saturday fixtures were postponed due to waterlogged pitch in the Mid Cheshire League First Division. The reserves' games were also victims of the weather, while the A team play their final league fixture of the season this Saturday.
