ALBION put in a tremendous performance at Dukinfield, with only a disallowed goal denying them all three points.

Strengthened by the return of Barry Cotterill, Paul Karcz and Paul Lyons, Albion made a great start with Rob Martin smashing a shot against the crossbar in the early stages.

Martin looked to have scored early in the second half as he let fly through a crowded penalty area, and although the referee initially awarded the goal - his linesman flagged for a foul in the area.

Despite this setback the side kept plugging away and were almost rewarded as Paul Eddisbury - who was re-instated into the midfield - broke through the offside trap only to see his shot deflect off the keeper's shins.

Substitute Dean Gamble also saw his shot just clear the cross bar.

It's a home game for Albion next week against mid-table Monton Amateurs. Kick off is at 2pm.

The Reserves travel to Old Alts.
