After recording his first win on the Challenge Tour three weeks ago, rookie pro Horsey did it again in France with victory in the AGF-Allianz Europende Lyon tournament at Golf du Gouverneur.

Just over a week after securing his first professional victory on the PGA Challenge Tour, Horsey hit 68 and 67 for a five-under par that saw him tied for seventh in the international final qualifier at Sunningdale.

John began his golf as a junior at Chorlton and trained for his PGA qualification at Withington under Bob Ling as an assistant professional, achieving a number of playing successes in local competitions.

His first round of 67-4=63 set a new record for the revised course layout, and he followed up with 69-4=65 for a 36 hole total of nett 128, one of the lowest winning totals for many years in a competition dating back to 1931.
