Sweet FA for Road

MAINE Road were knocked out of this season’s FA Cup when they lost their first qualifying road replay against Brigg Town at Brantingham Road on Tuesday.
They went down to a 2-1 defeat, having taken a 20th minute lead through Luke Mack.
However, the visitors responded as Wood equalised 12 minutes later before Hope netted the winner on 59 minutes.
The first game last Saturday brought a 2-2 draw with Road conceding a 90th minute equaliser.
Mack and Beckford found the net for Road, but goals from Gweetham and Davies forced the replay.
