Wayfarers in good nick

Offerton 158ao, Wilmslow Wfrs 162-5 (Wayfarers win by 5 wickets) - A MATURE 58 from Thomas Matthews and a belligerent 35 from Tom Atherton led the way for Wayfarers in a five-wicket victory against league new boys Offerton on Saturday.
This was preceded by a fantastic bowling performance from Andy Bruce (3-48) as Offerton took first knock, and he was ably backed up by skipper Joel Unsworth who returned an impressive 4-68.
It was great news all-round for Wayfarers last weekend as the second team also claimed a welcome victory.
They bagged a convincing 97-run win against Appleton thirds, leaving them fourth in the league tablewith a game in hand on the teams above.
The stars of the day were Vishal Puri (38) and Jacklain Cooper (27) with the willow, and Jason Hanagan (5-25), Anthony Mape (2-16) and Jorge Williams (2-11) as Appleton replied.
