Wilmslow Express, Wednesday 27 December 2006ARE you a real Cheshire Cat? As it's party season I thought we'd have a bit of fun. Try these questions out on your friends and neighbours to see if they qualify as a Cheshire Cat:
2. The thinning blue line
Wilmslow Express, Wednesday 20 December 2006CAN I just say merry Christmas to all our front line police officers, community wardens and PCSOs. It appears that our elected representatives are only prepared to tell us the truth once they are out of office and have a book to peddle. Seems now like many of the old Labour cabinet were totally against the war in Iraq but weren't willing to say so until they were shuffled out of office.
8. Who ate all the pies?
Wilmslow Express, Wednesday 13 December 2006WHEN Arthur Comish opened his chip shop on Crompton Road at 4.30am last Tuesday it wasn't to feed hungry clubbers heading for home but to receive his morning delivery of pies.
9. Dementia patients are leading the way
Wilmslow Express, Wednesday 6 December 2006THERE are some truly cruel diseases and none more so than Alzheimer's. It robs sufferers of their memories turning friends and family into strangers. You'd think any government would be desperate to alleviate their suffering but not so. The Department of Health has decreed that dementia drugs will NOT be made available to all.
10. Hands up! The police have bottled water!
Wilmslow Express, Wednesday 6 December 2006METHINKS Cheshire Police are on the offensive. After the deployment of frighteningly empty police cars to deal with gun-toting gangs, local officers are to be armed with... bottled water.
