DON joined British Coal after school and has worked his way up from coal face to management.
After taking redundancy, he worked in financial services while studying for a Master's degree in business asdministration.
Together with partner Dorothy, he owns and operates Hillside Care Home, caring for the elderly in Wilmslow.
Don is a new face on the Wilmslow North Conservative team and is determined to use his varied qualifications, gained from the 'university of life', to maximum effect on behalf of local people.
He said: "I passionately believe our new unitary council needs to be run by Conservatives to achieve maximum value from the council tax from day one.
"Along with my Conservative colleagues, I believe in delivering high quality services that meet local needs in an efficient and effective way."
