Final resting places

IN THE final part of our three part series, we tell the
stories of the other four brave Maxonians, who fell on that blood
drenched day in 1916. And we finish our series, which has taken in
the men volunteering, training, fighting and dying by looking at
their final resting places in Macclesfield, Bollington and
France.

As our leaders polich up their speeches for REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY, I cringe to think that they will then go away, conscience cleared and forget it for another year.
I have just written a lengthy letter to your Editor telling of a war graves pilgrim being prevented from raising funds to go to REMEMBER THEM where it matters - at thier remote graves worlwide.
MACCLESFIELD Council want me to PAY to play my pipes in Macclesfield to raise fund to pay tribute to our lads who havew already PAID dearly. I will not do it. How can I ask members of the public to help me visit the lost/forgotten/remote war graves and then give thier donations to be squandered by Macclefield Council.
