A lorry lorry load of trouble on roads

DRIVING down the Silk Road this week I spotted a huge articulated truck veering from lane to lane at the McDonald's roundabout.

I was well back and away from danger but several vehicles swerved to avoid a major collision.

When I left, the truck was slewed across the roundabout blocking the traffic with the driver looking totally bewildered.

The next day I was at Handforth Dean when another enormous lorry made the same unannounced manoeuvre; this time I was forced onto the grass verge.

On both occasions the vehicles concerned had Eastern European number plates and I'd be interested to know if these were just isolated incidents or a trend?

It appeared to me both drivers were either disoriented or asleep.

Maybe they couldn't navigate a left hand roundabout?

Whatever the reason the consequences could have been horrific.
