Best Xmas gift ever

BARRING some future slight of hand it looks like we have secured the future of childcare at Macclesfield Hospital.

Let there be no doubt this is a victory for people power without which we would have a very different ending. This is not the first time folks of this borough have made their voices heard (remember Danegate?).

So instead of tolerating future injustice and stupidity let us be prepared to do something about it.

We know governing bodies don't like public dissent but if we are to have the society we want rather than one foisted on us by an influential minority we must act and make docile acceptance a thing of the past.

Congratulations to Muriel Clampett, Brendan Murphy, Peter Hayes, Sir Nick and all those feisty folks who fought for our hospital.
