Save our hospital

DO NOT miss your opportunity to have your say on Macclesfield Hospital. Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust is sending out a leaflet entitled What Is Making It Better, Making It Real?

On the penultimate page you will see options, A.B.C and D. The leaflet states that option A is their "preferred option" which EXCLUDES Macclesfield District General Hospital.

You will note that option D has Macclesfield District Hospital INCLUDED. Option A (Their preferred choice) has Tameside replacing Macclesfield.

So there you have it, a clear choice, lose your local Macclesfield Paediatric, Maternity and Special Baby Care Unit services and travel to Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Salford, Oldham, Warrington and Stoke OR vote for Option D, and help save Macclesfield District General Hospital.

You need to respond by Thursday, April 13, 2006.

   macclesfield has proved to be a valuable commodity for myself and my growing family. With 2 children under the age of 5 I cannot stress enough the importance of having a local accident and emergency department.
