Canalside Radio deserves its licence to thrill

Vic Barlow

CONGRATULATIONS to Nick Wright and all his team who have worked tirelessly for over four years to bring true community radio to the area.

It takes a lot of conviction to rally the troops week-in, week out for a radio station that doesn’t exist – but that’s what Nick’s had to do.

In their application Canalside say they will cover an area including north Macclesfield(although they haven't told their 'sponsors' in the south, east and west. Perhaps it's time for a community radio station for Macclesfield?

There has already been discussion about this on another story Garry.

If you think there are lots of nuts on the internet you are hardly helping matters by repeating the same old comment on every discussion. Or maybe you are proving that it takes one to know one?

Shows how many nuts are loose on the internet. A worth while subject and just two comments.

Perhaps that is because it is a worth while subject. Just thinking aloud.

I concur. I hope they have success. They will certainly make SilkFM change into a community radio station. Their change of stance has already been noticed since Canalside came on the sene, copying some of their lines.

Congratulations to ole Wrghty.

Well done. Hard work and dedication does pay off, eventually.
