The Blue Planet Live, MEN Thursday
BY ANGELA KELLY22/12/2006
THE captivating world of Sir David Attenborough's landmark TV
series about marine life comes to the Manchester stage.
The Blue Planet Live is at the MEN Arena on Thursday when the BBC's
Dianne Oxberry will be guest presenter to narrate this magical
on-screen underwater journey. She will join conductor George
Fenton, his 76-piece orchestra and the Canzonetta choir for this
unusual Christmas show. Blue Planet is a definitive exploration of
the world's oceans and the fascinating creatures that live
there.
From the coasts to the poles and from the reefs to the deep, this
wonderful series reveals behemoths like the blue whale to
microscopic creatures like coral polyps as never before.
We know less about the oceans than we do about the surface of the
moon, yet the seas cover two-thirds of our world. Here is a unique,
entertaining opportunity to discover more.
