25/ 8/2006
HUNDREDS of youngsters who don't normally play sport will head
for Manchester's SportCity next Friday (Sept 1) for the North West
Street Games.
Teams of around 50 youngsters will take part in Kwik cricket, Tag
rugby, 3V3 basketball, High 5 netball and Futsal - a soccer game
developed in South America and credited with honing the skills of
Brazil's famed players.
The one-day event has an opening and closing ceremony with medals
awarded to winning individuals and teams.
Its aim is to encourage healthier activity and a sporting spirit.
It is sponsored by youth fitness specialists, SHOKK Ltd.
