Soapbox: What can Fred be asking Bev?
Rachel Broady17/ 2/2006
CORONATION STREET Bev is dumped by her boyfriend - on a country lane in the middle of nowhere. Fred rushes off to find her and when he does he has a shock proposal.
I bet it's about as shocking as Tracy abandoning Amy.
Admittedly, Shelley is surprised because Fred's plans include
making Bev a "great landlady" one day. I don't think his intentions
are to feed her up so Shelley could be demoted.
The Barlows can't believe Tracy has abandoned her own daughter to
move in with Charlie. Why? This is the daughter she intended to
sell, lied to everyone that Roy was her father, denied access to
her real father and uses as a bargaining tool at any available
opportunity.
Charlie, meanwhile, finds a cannabis farm while fixing a leak in
Jo's flat. But the finger of suspicion points at David who was
there taking care of her dog. His performance (for the police) is
really impressive.
And Sally has a new fight on her hands - this time in the form of
Janice. After Kevin's shoddy work leaves Leanne's car brakes
failing, Janice and Sally are at loggerheads. Mrs Webster may
finally be out of her depth.
EMMERDALE Turns out Terence's wife took out an
injunction and it's hoped this will make Turner see sense. But
Turner remains a foolish old man (Amos and Mr Wilks wouldn't have
tolerated such shenanigans) up until Terence gets drunk and lashes
out at Adam, admits he slept with Steph and then knocks Turner
unconscious.
Meanwhile, Daz finds dead sheep at the farm and, a while later,
some rusty barrels leaking antifreeze. Putting two and two together
with an aching head, he starts taking photos with his mobile but
Matthew finds a new form of happy slapping and stomps on the
skinhead's phone.
And Nicola is still fantasising about Ivan and is determind to
prove he's straight. Undeterred that he's also her brother's
boyfriend what plan does the minx have? Whatever it is, I'm sure it
will involve staring at us from our telly screens in a scary
fashion.
EASTENDERS Sleepless Yolande decides what to do
after a visit from Pat. She then has a mysterious appointment that
leaves Patrick perturbed. Here's hoping she isn't taking tips from
Sandy in Grease and intending to invest in a blonde wig and
enormous clip-on earrings to impress her man.
