Don Sheard

VOLUNTARY charity worker Mr Don Sheard, of Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on 2 November, aged 79.
He worked as a civil servant for the Home Office for 34 years before his retirement.
He also did a lot of charity work and travelled all over the world. He was connected with Sion Bptist Church, Higher Cloughfold.
A devoted family man, church played a big part in his life.
Husband of the late Jean, Mr Sheard leaves his children Judy, Hilary, Stephen, Wendy and Iain and their partners, grandchildren Louise, Tracey, Nicola, Joanne, Thomas and Rosie.
His funeral was on Tuesday 11 November when the Rev Ashley Stansfield conducted a service at Sion Baptist Church before cremation at Burnley. Family flowers only with donations to Sion Baptist Church.
