Beryl Jones

FORMER nursery nurse Mrs Beryl Jones, of St Peter’s Road, Newchurch, died on Tuesday, aged 79.
She worked at Staghills Nursery for most of her working life, prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Rossendale WI and she read for the talking newspaper.
Mrs Jones was also an elder at the Friends Meeting House in Crawshawbooth.
She was an accomplished piano player and organist and played at WI meetings and church.
Married to her husband Donald for 57 years she also leaves her sister Marion, brother-in-law Kenneth and his wife Joyce, nieces Julia, Dilys and Sheila, nephews Roger and Kevin, Gareth and great-nephews and great-nieces.
Her funeral is next Monday at the Friends Meeting House in Crawshawbooth at 2.15pm followed by cremation at Burnley at 3.40pm. For details contact the funeral director.
