Robert Taggart

FORMER foreman and member of Sydney Street Working Men’s Club, Mr Robert Taggart, has died at his home aged 75.
Mr Taggart, of Derby Street, Accrington, migrated to England from Ireland in 1969. He was employed at Mullard’s before moving to GRP Mouldings where he worked as a foreman for many years.
He spent a brief spell working for Asda before retiring.
He enjoyed snooker and dominos.
Mr Taggart was also a parishioner of St Joseph’s RC Church. He loved his camping holidays and travelling abroad with his wife Mary.
As well as his wife, he leaves children Philomena, Bernadette, Michael and Robert, sons-in-law Tom and Brian and daughter-in-law Pauline. He was also a grandad, great grandad, uncle, brother-in-law and friend to many.
Father Martin Saunders will celebrate Requiem Mass at St Joseph’s on Tuesday 12 August followed by burial in Accrington Cemetery.
